The Misbourne Greenway will form part of the Buckinghamshire cycleway, and a section of the proposed Birmingham to London cycleway, currently under development.

Sustrans are responsible for designing and building the Greenway, with support from the Chiltern Society, Buckinghamshire Council, Network Rail and Greenways and Cycleroutes.

Phase 1

Work on the first section of the route, between Wendover Dean and Great Missenden, is now complete , and this section of the route is open - but

The Greenway currently terminates at Dunsmore Lane.
There is no safe route north to Wendover, due to
HS2 construction works at Smalldean.
