Sustrans are responsible for designing and building the Greenway, with support from the Chiltern Society, Buckinghamshire Council, Network Rail and Greenways and Cycleroutes.
Work is underway on the first section of the route, between Wendover Dean and Great Missenden, most of which lies beside the Chiltern Line :
